During the Free Walking Tour Eindhoven, you will explore the city’s main highlights and hidden spots with a local guide.
We focus on Eindhoven’s industrial past with Philips, its transformation into a modern design and innovation hub, and the stories that shaped the city. Along the way, you’ll visit key locations such as St. Catherine’s Church, the city centre, and other important landmarks.
Our guides focus on storytelling, local insights, and practical tips, so you’ll not only see the city, but also understand it and know where to eat, drink, and explore further.
The Free Walking Tour Eindhoven is mostly wheelchair accessible, as the route takes place through the city centre with wide streets and flat surfaces.
There are a few areas where stairs or uneven surfaces may be present, but in most cases these can be avoided or adjusted during the tour. Our guides are happy to adapt the route where possible.
If you are joining with a wheelchair or have specific accessibility needs, we recommend contacting us in advance so we can make sure you have the best possible experience.
The Free Walking Tour Eindhoven is currently offered in English.
Our guides are experienced in hosting international groups and make the tour easy to follow, engaging, and accessible for non-native speakers.
If you are looking for a tour in another language, feel free to contact us. For private tours, we may be able to arrange guides in other languages depending on availability. Please look at https://guidedtourholland.com/
The duration of the tour is around 2 hours so we don’t stop for any break. We can make a quick toilet break if anyone needs to. We don’t stop for food or drinks.
We like to keep the groups small. So if you want to be sure to join the tour and book a spot on our website right away.

This is the title given to tours that work on a donation basis (at the end you can give the guide what you feel the tour was worth). In our small company, we are confident enough to let you decide the value of the tour. You can not get a fairer system and this ensures that our guides give their best service every tour.
The only source of income the guides have is the tips that generous people think that they’re worth after having taken the awesome tour. We don’t get sponsored by the city or anyone else. Any tip is accepted of course, in this way, anyone can join no matter what your travel budget is.
From start to end, it will be a little over 3 km or about 2 miles.
The tour takes about 2 hours and we end up at plein, the same spot where we start the tour. In this way, you won’t get lost!

Sure you can. You’re free to join and free to leave. We only ask you to let your guide know so we don’t have to look for you.
Every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 13:30

“What customers say ”
Eindhoven is a great city and this tour is a perfect way to see the best of it. I personally really enjoyed the stories about Philips and how the city transformed into a design and innovation hub. The guide also added some fun jokes along the way, which made it even more engaging.
What I liked most is that you really get your bearings in the city, which is ideal if you’re new in Eindhoven. You walk away knowing where to go, what to see, and with a better understanding of the city.
This is definitely a must do if you visit Eindhoven.
Thanks Carola for the great tour!
We went on the free tour today on Saturday and our tour guide was Harry – he was great! A history enthusiast who knew everything you could ever want to know about Eindhoven, from Philips to the city’s transformation into a modern design hub.
Such a great way to orient ourselves in the city and get some really good ideas for how to spend the rest of our time here. He was funny too, which made the whole experience even better 🙂
Thanks, Harry!
This was the first thing we did after arriving and settling in Eindhoven and we were not disappointed. Carola was an awesome tour guide who showed us the city while sharing its history, from Philips to the modern design scene.
He really made the tour interactive and dynamic by asking questions, telling fun “historic” stories and rumors, and sharing his perspective as a local. It felt personal and engaging the whole way through.
